NYC to honor USA women’s World Cup Champs after their impressive victory the Netherlands 2-0.  But winning the World Cup isn’t the most impressive thing they’ve done.

While the men’s USA soccer team has never gained any worldwide status,  the women’s team not only won the World Cup in 2019 but has done so four years in a row.

This has now elevated them to the new gold standard that other teams are trying to catch.

The Netherlands was the only team to keep the United States off the scoreboard in the first half in France but like all the other teams before them — Thailand, Chile, Sweden, Spain, France and England — they could not hold off the Americans forever – New York TImes

The Canyon of Heros Mayor Bill De Blasio announced that the city would celebrate the team with a ticker-tape parade on Wednesday, July 10th at 9:30 AM, which was also listed by amNewYork . The parade route will be the Canyon of Heros, in lower Manhattan (the financial district) close to both the Freedom Tower, and Suspenders Restaurant & Pub.

So come out to celebrate our USA champion team. New York knows how to celebrate!
